DENTAL CARE Brooker Memorial provides pediatric dental care in its Dental Center as well as exams, cleanings and fluoride to students in Region 1 and Torrington schools. In addition, pregnant women receive dental care in the Dental Center while they are enrolled in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. Brooker Memorial sees children who have HUSKY medical insurance or who have no dental insurance. Uninsured children pay a low per-visit fee based on family income. Children up to age 20 are eligible for services. Appointments can be made by calling 860-489-1328, Monday through Saturday.
CHILD CARE Brooker Memorial's Early Learning and Child Care Center provides quality, licensed child care, including infant care from age 6 weeks through Kindergarten. The center is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children receive enriched, age appropriate, nurturing care in bright indoor and safe outdoor environments. The Center welcomes professional families and those of all income levels. Children enjoy the diversity of programs, emphasis on school readiness, and the development of social skills and healthy relationships. Program enrichments include a children's garden. Spring donations of wood for raised beds and plants are always welcome!!!
COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES Brooker Memorial partners with a variety of community organizations to identify needs and make services available locally. These include:
* Blood Pressure Screenings, provided at Brooker Memorial by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on Tuesdays from 9 am - 11 am
* Counseling Assessments and Referrals , provided at Brooker Memorial by Greenwoods Counseling Referral Center
