Cassandra Weik, LCSW
Director of Children’s Therapy and Family Support
Cassandra (Cassie) has been working with young children and their families for seven years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Psychology as well as her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. Cassie has worked as a head and assistant teacher in childcare centers and a psychiatric clinician for an in-home program for young children and their caregivers. She loves working with children, being outside, and spending time with her family and dogs! Cassie finds joy in animals, laughing with friends, and meeting new people.
Sue Allen, COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Sue is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Brooker Memorial. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with a concentration in Special Education. Sue has worked with Brooker Memorial since 2017 and has been a COTA for 22 years. Prior to her time at Brooker, Sue worked in several geriatric centers. She has managerial experience and loves what she does! Sue currently lives in Norfolk and has two children.
Ronalee Herz, COTA/L
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Rona is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has been working with Brooker Memorial since 2017. Rona graduated from Manchester Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in occupational therapy and has been practicing as a COTA since 1986. Rona has a wide array of experience in the occupational therapy field. She has worked in geriatrics, early intervention, outpatient rehab clinics, and the school systems for over 30 years. Rona loves working with children and specializes in pediatric population with extensive knowledge in (SI) sensory integration, developmental delays, and (ASD) Autism Spectrum Disorder. Rona lives in Harwinton with her husband, 2 children, and a dog. She loves the beach, hiking and being outside
Debbie McGinn, COTA/L
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Debbie is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Brooker Memorial. She recently joined the Brooker team in January 2020! Debbie received her associate degree from Manchester Community College and has been a COTA for 23 years, previously working in skilled rehab and geriatric settings.
Debbie is grateful to work in an environment where she is an integral part of a child’s development. Outside of work Debbie enjoys playing tennis, golfing, hiking, and skiing with her family and their dog, Nic.
Marge Owens, M.S., PT
Marge is a physical therapist at Brooker Memorial and began working at Brooker in November 2019. Marge also works in two different school systems. She received her Master’s degree from Quinnipiac University in orthopedic physical therapy. She previously owned her own physical therapy practice for 18 years and has experience in manual therapy, home care, and geriatrics. She is a certified lymphedema therapist. She also has experience as an industrial rehab therapist. She loves to bike, hike, travel and spend time with family, friends, her dog, and two cats.
Deb Rabeuf, MS.CCC/SLP
Speech and Language Pathologist
Debbie is a Speech and Language Pathologist at Brooker Memorial since 2017. Debbie also works for the Torrington School District in their elementary schools and preschools! She has her Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Speech and Language Pathology through their Center for Communication Disorders. Debbie has two adorable pugs. She loves to hike, bike and run with her husband and enjoys crafts and cooking in her free time!
Danielle Sampieri, M.S., OTR/L
Danielle is an occupational therapist at Brooker Memorial. She has been working as an occupational therapist for five years in pediatrics and school systems. Danielle graduated from UConn with her bachelor’s degree in English and Communication Sciences and a master’s in occupational therapy from Chatham University. Danielle loves to spend time with her dogs, be outside, draw and bake in her free time.
Anne Yanaway, PT, DPT
Ann is a physical therapist at Brooker Memorial.
Cathy Coyle, M.B.A.
Cathy earned an Associate’s Degree from Northwestern CT Community College followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration with honors from Providence College. She received her MBA from the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining Brooker Memorial in 2004, Cathy was the Executive Director at the YWCA of New Britain. Cathy has more than 30 years of non-profit experience, including 20 in executive leadership roles. She enjoys working in a children’s organization where there is a smiling face around every corner. She also enjoys working with volunteers and likes the ever-changing challenges and opportunities of managing the organization. Her outside interests include running, hiking, traveling, flower gardening and cooking. She and her husband have two sons, the oldest is enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
Michele joined Brooker Memorial in June, 2019. Her Dad’s family grew up in New Hartford. She was the first person in her family to graduate from college. She received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Tunxis Community College. Michele has been married 30 years and has two boys, a grandson and a granddaughter. She LOVES her Friday night sleepovers with her grandson and looks forward to her granddaughter joining him when she gets a little bigger. Her hobbies are gardening, sewing, taking walks and hiking.
Tom recently retired, after 28 years, from the City of Torrington Public Works department. He was a mason and road crew foreman. Tom graduated from Wolcott Tech with a degree in HVAC. He has 3 grown children. His hobbies are fishing and antique cars.
