Lisa Ferris
Program Manager for Pediatric Dentistry & Center for Children’s Therapy

Lisa joined Brooker Memorial in in 2017 as our Program Manager. Growing up in Torrington, Lisa’s family were strong supporters of Brooker Memorial. Her grandfather and Aunt sat on the board of directors, and her father was a corporator. Lisa brings 16 years of experience in the dental industry. Her experience in dentistry management and love for kids makes this position a win-win for everyone. Lisa lives in Goshen, and has 2 sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking walks, weekends at the lake and weekends away.

Sue Allen, COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Sue is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Brooker Memorial. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with a concentration in Special Education. Sue has worked with Brooker Memorial since 2017 and has been a COTA for 22 years. Prior to her time at Brooker, Sue worked in several geriatric centers. She has managerial experience and loves what she does! Sue currently lives in Norfolk and has two children.

Annamari is a speech pathologist for Brooker Memorial.

Christy Dutko, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Christy is an Occupational Therapist at Brooker Memorial. She has been working as an Occupational Therapist for nine years in pediatrics, sensory integration, skilled nursing facilities, and school systems. Christy has a wealth of skill, including personal experience working with children with special needs. Christy graduated from UConn with her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Sacred Heart University. Christy has two children, ages five and one!

Ronalee Herz, COTA/L
Occupational Therapy Assistant

Rona is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has been working with Brooker Memorial since 2017. Rona graduated from Manchester Community College and has been practicing as a COTA since 1986. Rona has a wide array of experience in the occupational therapy field. She has worked in geriatrics, sheltered workshops, early intervention, and clinical pediatrics. Rona loves working with children and specializes in pediatric occupational therapy. She also has experience working in the school systems! Rona lives in Harwinton with her two children. She has a dog and loves to be outside hiking!

Debbie McGinn, COTA/L
Occupational Therapy Assistant

Debbie is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Brooker Memorial. She recently joined the Brooker team in January 2020! She received her associate’s degree at Manchester Community College. Debbie has been a COTA for 23 years, previously working in skilled rehab and geriatric settings. Debbie loves to be very physically active!

Debbie is a Speech and Language Pathologist at Brooker Memorial since 2017. Debbie also works for the Torrington School District in their elementary schools and preschools! She has her Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Speech and Language Pathology through their Center for Communication Disorders. Debbie has two adorable pugs. She loves to hike, bike and run with her husband and enjoys crafts and cooking in her free time!

Cathy Coyle, M.B.A.
Executive Director

Cathy earned an Associate’s Degree from Northwestern CT Community College followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration with honors from Providence College. She received her MBA from the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining Brooker Memorial in 2004, Cathy was the Executive Director at the YWCA of New Britain. Cathy has more than 30 years of non-profit experience, including 20 in executive leadership roles. She enjoys working in a children’s organization where there is a smiling face around every corner. She also enjoys working with volunteers and likes the ever-changing challenges and opportunities of managing the organization. Her outside interests include running, hiking, traveling, flower gardening and cooking. She and her husband have two sons, the oldest is enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

Cassandra Weik, LMSW
Client Support and Program Coordinator

Cassandra (Cassie) has been working with young children and their families for seven years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Psychology as well as her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. Cassie has worked as a head and assistant teacher in childcare centers and a psychiatric clinician for an in-home program for young children and their caregivers. She loves working with children, being outside, and spending time with her family and dogs! Cassie finds joy in animals, laughing with friends, and meeting new people.

Bookkeeper

Michele joined Brooker Memorial in June, 2019. Her Dad’s family grew up in New Hartford. She was the first person in her family to graduate from college. She received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Tunxis Community College. Michele has been married 30 years and has two boys, a grandson and a granddaughter. She LOVES her Friday night sleepovers with her grandson and looks forward to her granddaughter joining him when she gets a little bigger. Her hobbies are gardening, sewing, taking walks and hiking.

Tom Lopardo
Maintenance

Tom recently retired, after 28 years, from the City of Torrington Public Works department. He was a mason and road crew foreman. Tom graduated from Wolcott Tech with a degree in HVAC. He has 3 grown children. His hobbies are fishing and antique cars.
