Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP)

If you are raising children and you are not the biological parent, this program is for you!  We provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment, peer support and resources to help you with the challenges that come with parenting, especially when this role was unexpected. Join others who are also parenting in similar situations. RAPP includes a monthly support group, babysitting and activities for children during the support groups and recreational activities and outings for both children and adults.

The next support group meeting will be held on Friday December 6, 2019 from 9 am to 12 noon at Brooker Memorial. It will be a potluck holiday meeting. The next outing is aboard the Santa Express in Thomaston on Saturday December 14 at 2:15. Tickets are going fast so call soon to register.  The activity is free for families attending the RAPP Support group.

To register or learn more about this program, call Jan Lyon at Brooker Memorial at 860-489-1328 ext 129.

RAPP is made possible with funding from the Brookdale Foundation and the Western CT Area Agency on Aging.
