These gifts help offset the costs of the services we provide and help us to offer program enrichments such as the Cavity Free Club in our Pediatric Dental Center, the Little Green Thumbs Children’s Gardens, Yoga and Music classes in our Early Learning Center.Contributions can be mailed to:

Gifts In Kind
These gifts are also welcomed. These can include gifts of books, supplies, clothing and gift cards for the Care Closet and Angel Tree. If you would like to give a gift in kind, please call us, 860-489-1328, ext. 129, to be certain that your gift can be used by our programs.
Estate Planning & Legacy GIfts
Legacy gifts are especially meaningful because they help support the work of Brooker Memorial on a perpetual basis. There are many types of legacy gifts, ranging from specific dollar amounts bequeathed to Brooker in your will, setting up a charitable trust that will benefit or revert to Brooker Memorial at a future date, just to name a few. Volunteering
Another great way to support Brooker Memorial, without making a financial commitment, is to volunteer. We have a growing number of community volunteers who enrich our programs and our work environment. Read more about our volunteers.
Ruth Chadwick Care Closet
Brooker Memorial developed a “Loan Closet” in 1918 in response to families in need in the local community. This became the Care Closet in 2008 to respond to the needs of families we serve. Donations of cash or department/grocery store gift cards are always welcome and can be mailed to:

Examples of how gifts support Brooker
A gift of $100 provides a child who has no dental insurance a cleaning, exam and fluoride treatment.
A gift of $250 supports The Ruth Chadwick Care Closet and Christmas gifts for children in our programs.
A gift of $50 pays for a week of extra water usage to keep our Children’s vegetables gardens thriving during the hot summer. The garden vegetables are prepared and enjoyed by the children for snacks and with their lunch.
A gift of $100 provides a monthly scholarship to help a struggling family with child care tuition.
A gift of $500 purchases three web cameras to make teletherapy possible for children who are not able to receive their OT, PT or Speech therapy in our building.
A gift of $2,500 pays for 25 yards of playground-safe mulch to ensure a safe surface on the children’s playground.
A gift of $500 provides one week worth of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to the dental clinical staff to keep them and our patients safe.
